Why Now?

I have always found it hard as an adult to find friends. Truthfully, it is probably more time to invest in making friends. As a middle aged dad, I was working long days and my evenings were taken up by all the everyday tasks and time with the kids. Rinse, repeat. By time the weekends would come, it was more about recovery than being social. What i have found is, this is not uncommon. Many men are living similar lives. I want to do something about that.

Let’s dial back a bit and tell you about me. I am divorced, dad of 3, and as of a few weeks ago unemployed after ‘corporate restructuring’. So in between writing cover letters and firing off applications, I had some time to think about who I wanted to be. I want to be a man of morals and ethics, a good guy and a good dad. But I also want a life that I enjoy outside of just being the best dad and employee I can be, I want to be the best ME I can be as well.

SO I am here, and I hope others will join me. I hope to eventually make this a place where we can not only support each other, but have a little fun as well. I plan to post a little bit of everything on this site. Information that helps us grow, reviews of things I find interesting, and general thoughts and ideas I think others might find interesting. I look forward to talking to you and hearing your ideas and thoughts along the way.

Talk to you soon!
